I'm a 56 year old military retiree and also a State of Michigan retiree. I've survived cancer. My hobbies are working on my computer, fishing and golf. I love anything to do with exploration of space and the search for intelligent life out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that extraterrestial life exists and that it will not be dicovered by humana. Exterrestial life will contact us when they think that we are ready to join them and not before. I believe that we will benefit greatly in our way of life here on earth and in space.
We should transmit beacons for others to find. The beacon should tell of the diversity of life here, along with our hope for the future.
I run SETI@home because I believe that it is worthwhile and a way for me to help with my computer down time. I believe that the project has been a worthwhile addition to the SETI program.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
