I am a writer with a deep and abiding love for cosmology.I do believe that we are not alone - not for XFile-ish reasons;it's sheer probability. To think that a flawed race like ours is the only tangible sign of life in this vast cosmos is to be arrogant and in no small measure, stupid.
As to SETI@Home...this is my small way of being part of the search....and who knows, we may find out in our lifetimes that the answer indeed is 42!!!!
Now if only the bright minds at Berkeley would find my words stimulating enuf to give me a free trip to Arecibo...life would be sweet:)
Would also be interested in knowing what the users here think of the whole Cydonia issue. I find it deeply intriguing, moreso when I read political statements about missions to Mars.
BTW if any of you is Timothy Ferris....could you please Sir, give me a job as a research assistant to you?
Have fun guys....heartwarming to feel that 4.5 mil of us are connected to this .
