I am a 42 year old professional driver woring for the Postal service. I am married to a beautiful woman and have several kids and grand kids. We live in the Idaho Rockies and love it.
I hope to be the first one, or at least my club be the first to detect a valid signal from another world. I know they are out there. To use the words on from the movie "Contact" If there aren't it's an awful waste of space.
Being Christian seems to cause a conflict. I, however, believe that if God created us, he would certainly have created others. I think it is vain to think that we are alone in his wonderful universe. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think Seti is a great idea, especially since it privatized! I think they will "hear us" looking for them and contact us. Number 2 is silly. Regardless of wether or not we want to, we have been sending signals for years into space. I think we need to be careful. We could meet a democaratic society not unlike ours, or we could run into a bunch of lunatics like we find in our very own world.
I am proud to be a part of this great project and if I could, would run multiple computers. The more of us that actively search, the sooner we will find what we are looking for. |
