I live in The Netherlands, am 39 years old and "doing" astronomy from age of 17.
For work I create professional kitchens for restaurants and hotels etc.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is obvious that there is life in the universe, though there is no way to communicate with it due to distance, time, knowledge, intelligence and social reasons.
It may be a good thing for us to send out a message into space, but on the other hand, if we are an example of average evolution, then we must fear the aliens, we are not able to run this world without war....is this what comes of beings with evoluating brains?
On the other hand "they" can bring us technology, it is a 50/50 chance, let's gamble and let them know we are here.....how much worse can we get?
