Personal background
I am a male of 50 years. I live in Edinburgh Scotland. I am a self employed consultant in Central Scotand.

I have been involved with Seti since June 1999.

I enjoy driving, sailing, flying, eating, walking, sleeping, loving, drinking and all the other *ings, that one can do without hurting anyone.

I have a son 18 and daughter 22 from a recently failed marriage.

My son is an apprentice woodworking machineist in Edinburgh, while the daughter is a worker for the Scottish Executive.

I am mad about F1. Having been personally involved in the early seventies as a mechanic.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I belive we will eventually find something out there as:-
If space is infinite, there must be an infinite number of planets.
If there is an infinite number of planets there must be an infinite variety of planets.
If there is an infinite variety of planets there must be an infinite number of inhabited planets.
And so on until there must be a planet that is exactly the same as this down to the history etc, the only difference between the two places is that you wrote this!!! and I am reading it!

We will discover that extraterrestrial life by accident of course.
