I'm from Quesnel Canada. I am 47 years old and I am employed by the local school district as a High School Physics, Mathematics and Science teacher. I have bachelors degrees majoring in both Astrophysics and Physics. Computers and Astronomy are my primary hobbies. I have a family of 4 comprised of my wife, 2 daughters and myself.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life may take on forms that we are not expecting. I also think that there is a high probability that extraterrestrial civilizations may employ technologies that we cannot detect simply because we have no understanding of these technologies. Radio technology may well be something that many extraterrestrial civilizations left behind long ago in their civilizations' history.
There is still a remote chance that an early technological civilization may leave radio tracers for us to detect so I continue to support this project.
