Personal background
I live near Hannover, Germany. Hannover is the Expo2000 city. I'am 29 years old.

My Interests are: Science-Fiction / Techno-Music / Taekwondo / Mountainbiking / Internet and more..

I use a Intel Pentium 4 2,6GHZ Processor / 512MB SD-RAM / 40GB Harddrive / 16xDVD-ROM Drive / 256MB Graphic Chip and a 17' Flat-Monitor.

First I heard about SETI in 1996/97 when I saw the films "Independence Day" and "Contact". Also I heard about it in the Star Trek Voyager Episodes 49/50 "Future's End, Part 1&2". About SETI@home I find out in the years 1999/2000, a half year later after the beginning of SETI@home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home, because I think it's a very important project. It's one of the most important projects. Of course it's worthwhile! Go on!

I think that there are ETs out there. In my opinion, we will discover them. The Question is, when it will be. This Question means exactly, where they are, perhaps 50 or even 50000 or even more ligthyears away. The benefits are a better world, i really don't see dangers, because they are more developed, also in there mind and intelligence.
I mean, we should transmit our own signal for others to find us, because we will have our first contact.
