Personal background
Lately I've been wondering why the US citizens are so willing to support the systematic denial of the right to vote to fellow citizens, starting with opposition to the civil rights act of 1964. Sometimes I wonder if there are any democratic elections anywhere in the world. If you get frequent ear infections, you can use a 1:2:1 mixture of distilled white vinegar:isopropyl alchohol:distilled water five drops in each ear once a day in order to prevent recurrance, or three times a day for two weeks after treating an occurance as per doctor instructions.
If you have ingrown toenails, try wider shoes that say EEEE or EEEEEE. Also, soak them in hot water three times a day, even after they feel better. If your dog gets diahrrea, give it a pepto-bismol pill right away (hidden in a little refried beans), then call a vet. Keep some pepto on hand at all times just in case.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't think there has been any investigation done so far that could have revealed the presence of ET even if they were already here on earth. Thus I am happy to give my computing time as a show of support to a project analyzing data for the existence of ET, even though I don't believe the data gathering/analysis is powerful enough at this time to find anything, it can only grow stronger with our support. It's a lot easier to raise support where all people have to donate is their computing time than to get people to donate money, of which many of us have little. Anyone with a computer can still vote pro-seti using their cpu cycles.
