Personal background
I'm a 31 year old guy from groningen, the netherlands. Currently still working in the computer busines as a software engineer, mainly internet, some cdrom.
Got two bands (though not that active at the moment) see them at http://www.sevenhz.com and http://www.stanza8.nl if you whish (and book us :).

So I suppose that makes music one of my hobbies. The usual like: girlfriend, friends, going out and the anual surftrip to the south of france are the others.

Add to that the newly acquired snowboardhobby and you have it all.

Oh yeah, the picture... It is sort of me (artistic impression though) it's from the stanza8 website.....

And ofcourse the stats:

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I kind of do think et is out there, I just don't really think we'll find them in the near future. Probably looking to far in the past considering the time it takes for data to travel across the universe, but then again, I ain't close to being the avarage expert on the subject.

Though If we'd find et, I think we won't be able to deal with it, cultureshock and all. (Even if they had a babel fish to make communication a bit easier.)

I started running seti@home mainly 'cause I though it was a brilliant idea. Right now it is something between a drag and an obsession. Which I haven't decided yet, but hey, It ain't me who is doing the hard labour!

Oh well, I suppose I'll stick around for a while to see my name as the one who sent in the result.
