Does ET life exist? The laws of probability seem to dictate it.
How and when might we discover it? Wow, what a question, with so many angles for a response. It varies greatly, I'm sure, with the parameters used to define 'life.' I think the SETI project's focus on 'intelligence' is a good one, as any life form capable of generating a non-random mathematical pulse of detectable intensity would satsify the condition. |
