Personal background
I am an Australian living in Canada. I am working on a project to teach people to safely prevent and eliminate fugitive emissions from pipeline valves. We have been working at this for 7 years and hope to help the planet in our own small way. I have been accepted into the Athabasca University AU@MRC (Mount Royal College) BN (Bachelor of Nursing) program and am struggling to work full-time and progress in my studies, all at the same time. I think I will cut-back to a 3-day work week in January so I can persue my heart-of-hearts, Nursing. Wish me luck! Gosh, I miss Australia!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a fascinating approach to the task of finding out if we are "alone". It seems very unlikely to me that we are the only living planet. I believe there is a higher power but I do not believe in the "created in 6 days" theory.
