Personal background
I am a computer technician in the IT industry, but my real
passion is astronomy. I am an amateur astronomer of 7 yrs.
now. Nothing is more awe inspiring than a crystal clear night
sky viewing through my Celestron NexStar 5. I am also a member
of AVVSO. We as a human species are inherently drawn to the
starry heavens....it is our drive for exploration and our
wanting to know our place in the Universe. The need to know.
I'm quite confident that one day we will know. Clear Skies!!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does extraterrestrial life exists? Do the math !!!
Billons of stars in the MilkyWay Galaxy. Billions
and billions of galaxies in the observable Universe
and the billions upon billions of stars in these
galaxies.

With discoveries in the past several years of
extra-solar planets, with Upsilon Andromedae known
to have at least three planets orbiting it. Now
we're using terms like "habitable zone". Revision
of the Drake Equation gives us a very workable
formula for now.

And of course SETI. There is not enough space
here to say how invaluable their research is.
I am proud to be a member of the search, and
will be aboard for the long ride(across time).
