I live and work in Hamilton, Ontario Canada for a company called Frontline Focus International. Despite being mainly
a computer programmer my official title is Director of Information
Technology.
I have a wife named Catherine and two little girls, Caryssa and her younger sister Selaena. My brother is really into anything having to do with alien
life, and why not - when you really think about it, it's crazy to believe that we're alone in the galaxy.
As soon as I got this job, I made sure my machine was running the SETI
software - and it's been running ever since.
The way I see it, it'll be one of us who end up discovering that one call that will change the world. Why would you not want to be a part of that? |

If anyone of us were to put some intense thought into how infinitesimal our little presumptuous society really is amongst everything else that is out there, not a soul alive would ever again doubt the reality that they too are just a grain of sand on the living beaches of the galaxy.
And it's not only that - after all, here we are simply listening for ET - some form of intelligent life - that is life that can also listen for us. Who knows what the ratio is between intelligent alien life and the alien life that have not yet evolved to being ranked among "the intelligent".
I'd say our chances are pretty good. With ever-increasing technological advances and a larger number of open minds we can see farther than ever before.So what should we do? In my opinion there's no question. If we expect ET to call us, we must first call him. |
