Personal background
Hi, I was born in 1960 and live in Maidenhead, UK. Maidenhead is about 30miles west of London. I work for a large Global IT services company, selling services across Europe. My my home computers are processing packages on a full time basis. I joined up on the 2nd July 2002 after a programme on BBC radio 4 at Monday lunch time.

I like to believe we are not alone, but space is very big and has been around for a long time. Other may have existed in the past, but may no longer be around.

Outside work activities include looking after 2 teenage children and racing radio controlled cars. Could these signals be detected by other life forms? Having read the background to this project, I doubt it, unless they are sitting in one of the many recorded UFO's.
I have 3 machines working on the project.
1) Desktop with 512mb amd 1800xp on win 98
2) laptop p4 1.4 256mb on win xp. Only running part time as the processor is designed for a desktop and gets very warming
3) works laptop celeron 1200mhz and 256mb on win XP.
All the machines run the commandline along with SETISPY
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Easy to setup and a practical use of computer time. Shortly I am sure my wife will want to switch one of the computers to a similar medical related activity. Being a school Governor, I have approached the head teacher to see if their computers could join the scheme and build this subject into science topics.
