| Hi, my name is Chris, and I live in Teesside in England. I am originally from Harrogate in Yorkshire, and so I miss being able to see the sky (Teesside is an industrial heartland - not for nothing are the locals known as "Smoggies"!!) - and so SETI@home is one way of being able to stay in touch with the rest of the universe. |

Extraterrestrial Life *must* exist - we do, and so we must be ET to someone else (and looking around the town I live in, I think that they are amongst us, now).
I run SETI@home because I have a very powerful computer which, apart from when I am playing games (killing aliens... ironic) sits doing not much at all. So I decided to use that spare processing power - and SETI@home seems to leave the smallest footprint, and doesn't disrupt my using the computer for what I want to use it for, unlike some other distributed computing projects that I have tried out before. SETI is the original, and still the best!!
