Personal background
Howdy, I've been a big fan of the SETI project for a while now. I think this is the best way to find other "life" outside our solar system, instead of half drunk accounts of UFO's. Anyway, I like to spend my time mountain biking, reading, playing chess, astronomy, overclocking my Mac, code breaking, trying to appease my very angry feline BAPU, and especially having the time of my life with the best girl in the world, JACKIE!!

When I'm not doing that I work as a graphic designer in a small Western Massachusetts town.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I was inspired because Carl Sagan opened my eyes to science. Especially after reading "Demon Haunted World" and "Broca's Brain". Before that I was young and naive, believing in such things as UFO's, ESP, Bigfoot, and other psuedo-science myths. Now, I find real science much more exciting and rewarding. And that's what I think SETI is all about, the REAL possibility of finding a signal from another civilization. Now that would turn people's ego centric, superstitious, fear based ideas on their heads!
