Personal background
Hi, my name is Liz Woodburne and I'm from Plymouth, in the south-west of England. I am 26 years old and am a qualified Librarian, but I'm still looking for my dream job (aren't we all?!)

I love listening to music, reading and I also write, mainly short stories. Another big thing in my life is films; particularly going to the cinema, I really love seeing films on the silver screen. Whilst I was at university, I was committee for the student cinema.
I also enjoy computing and have recently started a course with the Open University, which is keeping me on my toes!
My biggest hobby is my love of science fiction and the like. I love all aspects of SF TV, films, novels, radio, all of it. I have a lot of friends who feel the same and through them I am involved with a local convention, which runs once a year here in Plymouth; which is a weekend of great fun.

Well that's me!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that there is other life out there; we would be incredibly arrogant to believe that we are the only intelligent (and I do have to say i'm using that word litely ;-) ) life in this enormous universe of ours.
I think that we should be sending signals, for the life out there to find us. It would be fantastic if we could make peaceful/friendly contact with them.
I run Seti@home, as I would like to think that one day contact would be possible and that I had a small part in it.
