Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) "Does E.T life exist?"
Well I really hope so! I will be very depressed to learn that we are the only so-called intelligent life form around! On a less sarcastic note, It will be the best way to unit mankind and make him realize that there is something beyond the accumulation of personnal wealth at any cost, that somehow, we have lost the focus on what is truly important in life: life itself.
With this shift of focus, we will be paying more attention on our actions, on how we are basically destroying ourself by neglecting self improvment, our ecosystem and mostly, by our way of life.

2) "Should we send a beacon?"
What worst can happen that we do not do on a daily basis? My personal view is "since we are already trap by our economical and political system, if E.T. is an invader, at least it will be something "fresh". hehehe! Seriously, I stongly believe that any life form with more common sens then us is by all mean more "evolved". They surely have dismissed from they're "way of life" the petty struggles that we have : greed. Let's face it! it is was not for greed at any level, will it be any wars, murder, theft and so on?

We do not have, yet, the ressources, the knowledge and we are "blocked" by a little thing called money to really do the search. By sending "probes" we can really enhance the chances of contact. The information should be simple:
a complete map of our planet ecosystem, solar system, our DNA and an "invitation" on where to find us and how to "contact us" : Hello this is manking, we just blow this planet up, after the beep, please leave a message" he he he ! No really, a way to tell who we really are, what are our hopes and dreams, how lonely we truly are in this universe and what is the question that all of us have in the back of our minds: Where do I come from and especially where do I go next.

3) "why do you use Seti@home?"
There is an incredible amount of work to be done and very little ressources. If my modest contribution can help the "maybe" salvation of mankind, I will be
