I'm a 26 years old french programmer...found of music (guitar playin' especially), planes, and about everything that can melt down my brain.
Like many other people, I discovered the Seti some years ago watching Contact... Hooooo lovely Jodie Foster...
I done some calculation some years ago with the help of all the net of my old school ( Well I was the admin.... so by night... lol)... so I'm back with my lonely K7 700.... ;( |

Well about Seti.... I guess it's obvious that we're not alone....
But.... do you speak japanese? summerian? or maybe some arramaic?
maybe we can receive some phenomenons created from natural physics out there... and with luck some intelligent technical phenomenons...
can we see that something like prime numbers only have meaning for us... and just for us! Let's see, but don't expect too much... Maybe we will find some bacteria.... maybe we are?
About Seti@home... It's great to interrest some people into some scientific project... even if they don't know what is a FFT or something... It's really nice... this grid idea was great... it just tells the whole world that some people believe that et can be found.... even if it is around 0.001mm :)
Je suppose que comme tout projet scientifique il succitera des découvertes totallement innatendues... qui sait peut-etre un truc sur ce foutu hypothetique E.R ( de moins en moins hypothétique visiblement).
