Hi there! I'm from Jupit... (oh, no! It was supposed to be a secret! Shhh!) Anyway, I'm disguised as a 40 year old man from Buenos Aires (Argentina) who dreams with ET life since a Bradbury's book fell in his hands at the (tender) age of 10. From then on I couldn't stop thinking that someday in the future (my future, of course) we (the human race) will meet a civilization from outer Solar System. Maybe they're just waiting for some sign (for example that we ourselves ARE civilized, which I think we aren't yet). Maybe they are far interested in other things. Many maybes transform into a big maybe. That's why I joined SAH. Because I wanted to be part of this meeting and transform that big maybe into a big YES - THEY ARE OUT THERE!
As a side effect of all this I am a System's Engineer who previously studied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, but now I'm just working on systems and the like.
I have a wife (Judy, incidentally she's from Ariel, Neptune) and a 21 month old son (Martin, he's from Earth, no doubt). No cats nor dogs, since they could recognize me and bite me or worst (but I would love to have a pet... pity that I live in an apartment...).
Last (but definitively not least) I've always dreamt of being an astronaut, but I live in the wrong country and I have a terrible fear of flying...

There is no possible doubt about ET life. It could be totally different from what we think or know as "life". Maybe there is just animated life without intelligence, but it is hard to believe that we are alone in this vast universe, meaning that there should be some intelligent form of life wandering the stars or just settled on a planet like we are. SF has many possible descriptions of what we could encounter out there. If they are a danger to us or not is a risk we have to take if we want to know of their existence. But the actual danger could be we ourselves...
I run SAH because I want to help finding the answer to the general question and thus confirm my own ideas to this point (that ET life exists and wants to communicate). When I knew about the project my heart skipped a beat because it transformed my dreams into a reality. I know (in fact I am convinced) that there must be someone out there dreaming the same as we do here, asking the same general question and maybe with no answer at all. It should be just a matter of time that we reach each other and start communicating... |
