Hi.. Im a 23 years old guy from Norway that lives on the east side of the country. My current occupation is "space-related" since I work with analog and digital satelite´s .. ehh that means Viasat Customer services. So if you have the viasat packages and need some help / having troubles it may be me you are talking to next. When i´m not doing that you find me living in "Britanina" on the world of Ultima Online where i spend MUCH time on the net.
Else im just enjoying music,freedom, money, computers and sosial-life...
YEAH..I DO HAVE THAT TOO :)
So here im sitting trying to decode some signals in hope to help the society
and the Seti guys.. Hope i do any good.
I have currently two machines working.
The first one is a AMD Thunderbird 1.2 Ghz with 256 ram. That machine is pretty fast though.
My second machine that im setting up right now with SETI is an intel PII 266mhz
with 64 ram. wwll.. that machine is my server.. so i dont use its prossessingpower to much.. So :)
OK.. Decode that stuff.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Of coure ET exists.. But we need to scan other planets than our own solarsystem.
Im not THAT much into this, but i have made myself up a few thoughts.
Just by looking up in the sky, we see thousand of planets and stars that we dont have to much info about. Every year we success in teh invention of new Telescopes and Sat-dishes and things.. We can see more in space and hear more.
But i think one day this will stop itself. Maybe we Do find some life out there by then, but i guess we have to move a bit out in the space and "look for those planets behind. (and that will happen when we manage to travel in space some further that we are doing today.
The benefits. hmm.. maybe new resources, new powersorces, new species.
The Dangers. Many.. I guess that we will be exited to find life, but when found we will be scared and destroying them (if possible) because they are a danger against us.. ehh (i guess i have seen to much american hero movies)
Seriously.. I guess we have to see thta there might be a race/beeing that would be much smarter than us,more siviliced and so one.. therefore it will be a much more threat against us too.
Beacon: Why should they understand any language of ours? draw some pictures :)
SETI: Just great. do my best to help. The only thing i wish for is that SETI posted some findings (found by theire users) on the website... (teories) and (locations) etc..
