Personal background |
Born in 1973, Belgium, Europe. I work for the Belgian railroad company (NMBS) and hope to do so until the day I retire. When I'm not at work, I spend my days watching a lot of TV and surfing the Internet. I also enjoy listening to music. I even help out at distributing radio shows and maintaining a website about those programs. Having read that, you may have already guessed I'm single ;-) |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Having been a Sci-Fi fan since the first time I saw a Sci-Fi series (can you guess which one?) the link to believing in aliens, or, to use a fancier term, extraterrestrial lifeforms, isn't far off. If life can exist on this planet and science has proven the universe to be infinite... LIFE CAN EXCIST ON OTHER PLANETS. It's arrogant to think we're the only ones 'out (t)here'. The search for alien lifeforms should never end... that's why I'm excited to be able to take part in this project. As to transmitting a beacon into space... why not? A beacon which contains info on our planets nature and our political hierarchy... I don't see the harm in it. We might get a signal back with the same kind of information :-) |
