| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I started running the Seti program about a month after it first came out, and now have ten computers running the basic SETI@Home program. I don't believe that the world governments are funding enough research to determine if there is Extraterrestrial life. I think it would be extremely foolish to believe that we are the only "intelligent" life to be found in this galaxy / universe.aaSo, do I think ET life exists? Yes - I would much rather that we found them, versus them finding us. I would like for the human race to be on the "observing" side for awhile to determine kinship / friendship. If the et's have been observing us, what must they think? I wouldn't expose myself to a warlike culture such as we, as I would be afraid that the other's response would be with the military vs. political.aa |
