Personal background
Hi i am 22 Years of age and currently unemployed at the moment.

I am interested in computers in a big way in that everything i do revolves around them and i currently build them for friends and family.

I have varied hobbies in that i go from one to the other quite often. These include reading, swimming, music (i cant live without music), snooker and watching tv.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I first found out about the SETI project from a computer magazine and have been interested ever since.

I like to think that by running SETI at home on my computer i am contributing a great deal to the search for extraterrestrial life. And i believe one day that we will get the signals we have been waiting for.
The SETI@home project is hope for the saying "We are not Alone". Without SETI how would we ever know if anything was going on out there. At least this way with people helping it makes them feel part of a community dedicated to the search for E.T.

I personally believe that there is something out there because, If you think that we are tiny compared to the extent of the universe and that there must be another planet out there light years away that are exactly the same as us if not more intelligent.
Which leads me to the fact that i think we should be sending out our own signals for others to find.
I predict that in the next 100 YEars we will have confirmation of extraterrestrial life.
