Profile: Heaving Harold

Personal background
Ex-Submariner. Working in the Marine Traffic Industy.
Waiting to go out and meet some of our neighbors.
Wife will sadly watch me wave from the launch pad
(or transport portal would be cool) if I get the
opportunity. She would miss me greatly, but would
always have a reason to look into the sky.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, I am convinced physical contact has taken place. The benefits are so far-reaching. Medical Science, Electronics, Computers, devices we have yet to dream of may await us. Possible danger is the others will find us so dense, they may just leave us here to our doom, or destroy us before we cause more harm in the universe.

2. Yes. We should continue to send the radio signals, but we may want to consider light transmissions as well. I would hope that the others would be
able to re-construct the light and account for signal "bend" and such.

3. I run SETIATHOME, because I believe in what the project claims to be about. I would like to see a version of the software that would run on PCs with less than 128MB RAM. I have several older PCs that could be put into service if this were the case.

4. Oh, there is no 4. Sorry.
