| I'm a 39-year-old computer programmer from Aliso Viejo, California. I've been working in computer and video games since 1993. I'm a big fan of Tolkien, Babylon 5 and a few other works of nerdly fiction. My life would be boring to most, but my kids keep me busy; I have 2 girls and a little boy. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

It seems to me inconceivable that there should be no life elsewhere in the Universe, but quite possible that we will never encounter it. Even if the odds of making contact are long, though, I imagine success would be such a transforming event for us all that SETI's efforts are all worthwhile. I am happy to help this effort, if only in a small way.
I enjoy running SETI@Home under BOINC -- this enables me to also participate in climateprediction.net, Einstein@Home, Rosetta@Home and LHC@Home. Please keep up the good work, guys! |
