Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well, I do not think whether my opinion counts or not... What really counts is the contribution we are all offering to this cause (or should I called it a dream ?)... Do I believe in ET life ? I do believe, but as all beliefs it has very little to do with reality, only time will show... Sometimes it is good to prudent without this fact compromising the persecution of our dream... The ET theme apart from being a wondeful business for the media world, it has been greatly misunderstood due to the amount of fanatic, biased and/or non-scientific approaches to the research... This wonderful and highly ambitious program (seti@home that is...) is being started by a US University, receving contributions from around the globe, directly implying what humanity, united under a common dream can do... For the most diffcult and important part is unity and cooperation... As for the dream, in time, with time and hopefully on time, we shall be having some optimistic (I would really like to get a satisfactory definition of this word...) results...
