Profile: Nx8472 (Ryan Ford)

Personal background
I am from Dartford in England, UK.
I go to Dartford Grammar School.
I often look up at the stars and dream of a better life out there, meeting better and wiser people...
Does anyone else feel trapped on this rock?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe life out there exists, but not in the form as stated by "abductees". I don't think any alien races would be interested in probing us so many times. They have a prime directive of non-interference in primative life forms such as those on Sol III. The only way for us to communicate with them is to go to them. However, there is a slight chance we might detect traces of alien civilisations. I don't think they would respond to any messages we send them however, until we become far more advanced than we are.
(Well actually we do have the technology to travel to other stars in the blink of an eye, we are just being held back by our overwhelming desires for scraps of paper and lumps of metal that we have designated "money"!)
Benefits of alliances with alien life include wiping out disease and hunger within 50 years. Money would go the way of the dinosaur, as would greed (eventually), and the human race would become a far more civilised race. However, looking at the youth of today, this is a loooong way off! If I were an alien, I wouldn't want to contact humans!

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking toward the stars.
