Personal background |
Hello;
Greetings from the frozen northland of Canada! My Web name is celttooth the Celt,
one of the growing group of over fifties people now surfing the net.
I grew up in the back country of Nova Scotia, Then I joined the Air Force in 1964, and had the luck to travel the world.
I have finally settled down in the country again, but this time it is the back country of Alberta.
For my first home computer, my younger son gave me a 486/33, with 8 Meggs of RAM, an account with AOL Canada, and a 1200 modem. That was in 1996. I have not looked back since that time. I am now running with two AMDs. Why two computers? Well along the way I learned to build my own machines, so some how I ended up with an XP2200,and for now an AMD T-Bird 938. (This one is o'clocked from 850.)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I do not know if there can be other life forms with self awareness on other planets.
I do know that we as a species will most likely never find out if we do not start looking.
I hope that this program achieves what seti@home was set up to do in my lifetime.
I also think that the attempt to find other intelligence's is just as important as the results. After all, what are
we as humans if we stop looking for new things?
