Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
A friend told my about SETI and I very much liked the thought to dedicate my mostly idle CPU to something useful. I definetaly think there's life out there, most likely intelligent life as well. As it was said in the movie "Contact": "So many stars out there and no intelligent life? What a waste would that be..."
I yet can't quite imagine that we'll meet them somehow cause i know a little about physics and with our current knowledge it seems to be theoretically impossible. But maybe we haven't yet understood the whole thing so who knows... But anyway, even if we don't meet them we might be able to communicate with them or just find out that they ARE there. And that's definately worth doing all this.
