Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If some civilized race
has detected our presence, why would they make their presence known to us? To
them, we would likely be seen as dangerous wild animals (perhaps as we see
squirrels--leave them alone and they pose no danger, but try to pick one up and
get a nasty bite) with little to offer.
