I run SETI on around 80 Computers at the moment.
40 More are to be added shortly!!
All I can say is that I hope we find something, but it's not all in vain if we don't. The total computer output from SETI is something in the range of 2-3 times the most powerful supercomputers on the drawing board. So it's definitely proof of intelligence at least here on Planet Earth!! haha! |

Yes, extraterrestrial life does it exist and I think we should make some sort of tentative contact within my lifetime (over the next 50-100 years). I have a feeling that the current SETI Project is very limited in what it is looking at and what it is looking for.
I run SETI@Home for the sake of contributing to this awesome project, and also (probably moreso ;) for the Stats addiction!!
Seriously, if you want more out of SETI than just crunching, come join TeAm Anandtech, and you'll get a whole lot more out of SETI than a couple of Work Units! |
