Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I attend the seti@home-project since 2000. I'm very happy to have that opportunity, to support the researches in space-science. I'm a big fan of Star Trek and i like the stile they have. I would also like to research the inner secrets of the universe. Where does it come from, how does it exist, how will it end up? I also study Buddhism and that tries give answers to questions like who we are and what we can rely on. Nowadays the relation of philosophy and scientific researches has been found. They match more and more. The idea of an empty, spontaneously arising world, always changing and free of any differences and meanings is prooven by the scientific idea of Atoms, Protons, Quarks and all the other discovered basics of our existence. As a result of these ideas, i think it would be great if all beings could live together in respect and harmony, knowing that there is no better or worse being around here. All are experiencing the same on the same basis, so they are equal.
In that way, just for finding more friends, i let my computer work all day and night with the seti@home.
