I am from Indiana, USA, and am 54 years old. I am in the US Merchant Marine and have been sailing since 1973, all on the Great Lakes. I am the neighborhood geek, believe it or not, who everyone calls with their computer problems which I love to find and repair. I got my first real machine, although I played around with one in those frustrating Comadore 64 days, in 1994 and started tearing it apart to see what made it tick almost immediately, and have been ever since.
I have been running SETI@home since 2001. I'm hoping to find some alien lifeforce who will come and take me away from this planet before we totally destroy it or ourselves.
In addition to SETI I run uFluids. I chose this project because of the local connection of Purdue U. I also run Rosetta because they might help find a cure for something I might need in the future, just in case those aliens don't show.
By the way, the photo is only a reasonable facsimile of me.
I wish I could still get high or at least a good contact buzz. Where are those flashbacks I was promised in the 60s and 70s? |
