I do not think we are alone - I doubt though that we will ever find anything else, but we will never know unless we try.
We should transmit a beacon - they may find us before we find them. We should send just a regular signal - content doesn't matter as long as it is constant.
I run SETI@home to help others in their endeavours. Would not have a clue what a good signal is!!!!
The project should get more advertising around companies
