Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) 95% sure that E.T. life exists. Probably discover them through SETI@home or similar (ie, we'll detect signals from them) Possible dangers? To them or us?
2) Yes. Transmit 'The Sound of Music' ad nauseum. If they still come and visit, we'll know they're a tolerant species.
3) To justify the expense of these pieces of junk that we buy. SETI@home is an excellent project.
