Personal background
Hi, I'm Aaron from Burlington Vermont. I work for a service bureau to the subsidized housing industry. I'm a sci-fi and science fan. Go Space Elevator! What is the Space Elevator? A space elevator is a revolutionary concept of getting from Earth into space, a ribbon with one end attached to Earth on a floating platform located at the equator and the other end in space beyond geosynchronous orbit (35,800 km altitude). The space elevator would ferry satellites, spaceships, and pieces of space stations into space using electric lifts clamped to the ribbon, serving as a means for commerce, scientific advancement, and exploration. Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've been a participant of seti@home and then on to boinc for about five years. Almost all the work units crunched on my crappy work computer ( Intel Celeron 429 MHz). For me this has been fire and forget software, I would go more than six months without more than glancing at the screen saver with seti@home. All the excitement with boinc has me checking things out almost every day and getting in the beta tests, but I expect to go back to ignoring things when boinc settles down.
