Personal background
Hi I go to Godwin High School in Henrico Va and I'm in the 9th grade. As most people know all high schoolers just got laptops for school and the only use I've found for it is to run SETI@home. My hobbies include astronmy, Hiking, Hang gliding and flying. I am an active member in the astronomy club at my school. My opinions about life elswhere in the universe are positive. I think ET is out there but I always wonder where. If he isn't, it seems like a "waste of space" As I stare up into space I wonter does the star I'm looking at provide even the simpelist life. We may never know but thanks to SETI and Carl Sagen I will never give up hope.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a great organization. Many say it's a waste of time but when the signal comes and we arent here to recieve it, it would be the biggest falure in the history of the Earth. We will probably discover ET through radio telescopes. The benefits of finding life is it improves the chances of human survival knowing that there is someone to care for us. The only danger to finding life is humanity.(Ever see contact) I do think we should transmit signals as well.(For all we know they are just listening) We should send them prime numbers. :-) I run Seti@home because I'm always willing to help.
