Personal background
Im a 20 year old system administrator and part time idiot! ;o)
To tell you the truth i allways thought seti was useless since we could use distributed number crunching habilities for the good of man kind (like finding new cures for deceases) but, since this is one of the only projects that support linux and i have a lot of servers..heck, here iam! ;o)

I got hooked into Seti when i installed a 10'athlon 1800xp machine'cluster.

Soon the competition started flowing thru my electro'junkie veins and...i just have to get MORE WU completed!!!

Heh..its a ego thing ;o)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hmm...i dont really know/care about extraterrestrial life ;o).

The only thing i DO know is that there is so much to explore right here on earth to go jumping on to the universe.

Still, it is a very nice project since it is (AFAIK) the first internet distributed project in the whole world.

I've allways been fascinated with clusters and distributed computing so...congratulations to the seti@home developers! great project.

As for suggestions to the seti project...i think it would be interesting for "you" to share the source of the project.

Maybe if it was a OPEN shared project, it would have even greater impact and performance! Not that i dont think you are all great developers or scientists...but...its just a thought! ;o)

Keep those WU arriving people! And remember, no matter how many YOU processed..I WILL GET YOU...EVENTUALLY!!! hiihhihi!

Hugs to all!
