Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hmmm, why do I run SETI@Home, well to be completely honest, getting a good position in the rankings is a strong reason. However, I do believe that I'm helping to contribute to noble scientific endeavour (no, really!).

I first came to SETI@Home after seeing the original screen saver running on a friends PC. I started off with the screen saver before moving on to the command line version. I guess also that seeing the film "Contact" also helped pique my interest, as did watching Carl Sagans's TV series "Cosmos" all those years ago.
