Profile: Azazel

Personal background
On the 25th day of the 6th month of the 6th year in the 8th decade of the 9th centuary in the 1st millennium. A child was born. Not just any child but a child of the stars.

He would later to grow up not to be a rocket scientist or an explorer of the planets above but rather a humble film student who would spend his days telling storys of the heavens to those, like him, who are bound by the limitations of his time.

When not making films he spends his spare time learning the sabre and broardsword and playing violent videogames.

He likes long walks on the beach and gazing up at the stars. If you would like his video please dial 018-SPACE-DATE
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that It's somewhat ignorant and somewhat arogant to suggest that we are the only life in the entire universe. Considering we are but one small planet amoung trillions throughout the known universe. The chances of us being alone is perposterous.

Its possible that humans may never discover life in the universe but then again. It may just be a matter of time... Who knows.. maybe my work unit im scanning now may find life... No one can really predict when and how... mearly time...

Humans as a whole fear what they don't understand and I believe that if there is any real dangers of aliens meeting humans, its that humans will mess it up some how. The benifits are endless. Perhaps they can take me off the rock :)

I think a beacon would be a great idea... I think if we were to send anything. It would be Beethoven's 9th symphony. One of humanitys greatist and most beautiful achievements. Though on reflection there wouldn't be much point as they will recieve our radiowaves from television and the such before our beacon. Radiowaves telling them about the not so good side of humanity and perhaps this would detur them.

I run SETI@home because ever since a child I have been facinated with space. I like the thought of analizing radiowaves from the deepest corners of space. Doing my part to find the light in the darkness of space. I think the project is great. I only wish I could do more.
