Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There has to be other life out there, simply because there is space for it and because we exist. I dont think we will ever contact them with our current techology, but we will eventually find evidence of them. Signals take so long, that by the time we receive a message from ET, it is likely that that civilisation will have evolved, flourished and disappeared again. But contact isnt the key - the proof that we are not the only ones is.

Or in the words of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy:

"the universe: some information to help you live in it -

People: None

There are an infinite number of civilisations simply because there is an infinite number of planets. However, not every planet is inhabited. Since a finite number devided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, the population of the universe is zero, and anyone you meet is simply a figment of your imagination"

Ive no picture available, so this is my son Sam
