Profile: Inky

Personal background
My name is Inky

I'm from the Netherlands, mom of 2 kids. I stay home to take care of them, help a lot at school like computer lessons for the smallest and watching kids who stay at school for luch.
My biggest hobby is the computer but I also do a lot of knitting. My favorite games are RPG's like Might and Magic and the Forgotten Realms settings games (Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale).
That's all folks!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What do I think?

I think it would be pretty arrogant to assume that we are the only living beings in the universe. Wether or not other lifeforms are as far developped as we are? I don't know but it would be interesting to find out.
I do have my doubts wether it is wise to "let them know" we are here.. There's no way you can tell if they'd be hostile or not. Kinda like Russian roulette, is the chamber empty or not.. Besides, do we have anything to be proud of here on earth?

Why do I run SETI?
Well, I am curious about ET life, who they are, what they look like and what they have achieved. Is there anything we could learn from them or things we could possibly teach them? But, since I'm just a simple SAHM, the only thing I can do to add my piece is help process data. ;)
I don't believe we've already been visited.
