Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe ET exists, but it may be a long time before we
make contact.
Radio telescopes are the best way of listening at present
but ET's technology may be quite different.
I am not sure we should adverise our planet too much -
after all it's still a pretty nice place to live and there
are enough of us on it at present.
I run SETI@home because I believe there is a lot of
computing power out here that the professional astronomers
could make better use of.
Give us more data! We can contribute to the discovery
of pulsars, quasars/black holes, GRBs etc.
Come on - just give us a chance!!!
