| I am a 47 year young, long-time Fort Worth TX resident, divorced mom of two fantastic grown (27 & 29) and married children, and a devoted fan of my 5 year old grandson. My hobbies and interests are anything outdoors - gardening, paleontology, camping, canoeing, and reading, wasting time on the Internet, and volunteering. After a long stint as a business owner, I made a career change and am a software integration engineer (UNIX) at a major telecom. It took me a while to find SETI@home, and I'm glad I did! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Of course extraterrestrial life exists - hopefully they're much smarter and more benevolent than we are. The benefits are potentially unbelievably great, the dangers are potentially unbelievably grave - but, if we don't try, we'll never know.
2. I'm not sure a beacon is the best idea. I'd rather be the searcher than the searchee.
3. I'm just doing my part. I'd like to see everyone assisting with this exciting project. |
