Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I guess the universe is full of life and there are actually 2 categories of intelligent life out there. There are those civilizations that have passed a certain threshold of technological ability, and have formed an interstellar community. And there are those civilizations -like ours- that are yet evolving.
I think its unlikely that we discover the interstellar community yet because it would use a more efficient system of communication (maybe quantum entanglement, who knows) than electromagnetic waves. But, if we are lucky enough, another civilization, somewhere near us, may have been created at about the same time that we did. This could mean that they would be just as advanced as we are -if we are advancing at the same rate- and we would be able to spot them (or even communicate).

I guess that's rather unlikely to happen but anyway I like keeping my computer productive and going up at those lists.
