Personal background
I am a computer programmer living in Salt Lake City, Utah. I started SETI@home a few years ago, but it didn't run right on my NT machine at work so I stopped for a bit. I've set it up again to see how things go.

I enjoy computers, I like to design Web Sites and have a few of my own. I love to spend time with my dogs and my boyfriend, go camping, sailing, travel, and being out in the sunshine. I have been done some astronomy too, though not much recently. I've dabbled in some computer games, including EverQuest and Dark Ages of Camelot, but they are on the backburner now, maybe Star Wars Galaxies will be fun.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think extraterrestrial life exists. I don't know if humans will ever discover it, depends on if the human race survives for enough years. I think there are too many star systems out there for there NOT to be more life in the universe, even the galaxies.

I do think we should send out a signal. We should send information on our location, and how we can be found... and hopefully we will contact friendly extraterrestrials. There is always the danger of finding them hostile, but hopefully that will not be the case.
