my name is esrok... i sit at work all day and watch time fly by. i think about all the other things i could be doing, and wonder if this is the life i really want. i believe most people do what they do because of their childhood experiences. the chaotic variables of spacetime leading us through life one decision after another. slow but certain evolution. i believe there are people out there who's lives are dedicated to the development and understanding of advanced computer and information technologies. i am not one of them, but i admire the process. computers will soon compile enough equations simultaniously that a living entity will emerge. it will of course require human interaction, just as we need the interaction of living food and water. it will however be able to learn beyond, and in a totally different manner than any one of us. it will in fact learn as all of us. SETI is the first means toward this end with which i have found favor. i believe the first new form of intelligence to be discover through this project will be one that we ourselves have spawned.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
life exists all around us in more dimensions and with more variables than the human mind will ever understand. life is but a mirror. the more we look out, the more we will see of ourselves.
