Profile: Michael D. Grissom

Personal background
I'm a 71 year old retired (1990) career pilot of a WW2 Spitfire replica and published newspaper and magazine cartoonist. I retired to follow my dream of being a full time prolific inventor and still doing that.

My hobbies are ham radio (KW4IQ), restoring/rebuilding classic cars, and animating my cartoon characters.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
"I became a believer" when in 1985, flying my aircraft from Detroit to Columbus, Ohio, I collided mid-air with a sphere UFO which did considerable damage to the outer third of my port wing. I wrote and illustrated the entire event. See article http://www.rense.com/general63/ohio.htm if interested.

In my constant searches to find more info about what I collided with, I stumbled upon SETI@home and have been running BOINC ever since.
