Profile: Sascha Meyer

Personal background
I'm a 35 year old German (born in 1978) living in Wegberg, a small town pretty close to the dutch border. I work for a fairly big company and take care of our web-based production facility surveyance application.
My hobbies are creating webpages and doing drawings (some can be seen on ars-aventuris.de or at Planewalker.com), I also like reading, fitness, swimming, going on vacation, barbecues in summer and parties with a lot of friends.
I participate in seti@home, because the idea of this network is great and I also can't imagine that we are the only world containing life.

So let's find some aliens :D
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I like the thought of participating in a worldwide project, with thousands and thousands of participants using their (computer) power to help making this world a better place: to find cures for aids, to predict the weather, to discover new forms of life! Yes, I want to be one small piece in this world-spanning puzzle, even it is only through giving my idle time to BOINC projects.

I am sure that there are millions of places where life evolved and there are possibly thousands of worlds with "alien" beings (that's possibly what they would call us when they receive signals from our planet ;o) ), that's why I feel good when I start my SETI@home client!
